Dealing with time management
Ever feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day? Like the never ending list of jobs just keeps growing and growing? There’s only a limited amount we can do each day if we don’t consider proper time management.
With this there are 3 key things to consider:
Organisation – Simply getting organised can go a long way! Be realistic and plan out what you can fit into each day and when. It’s best to start with the things that must be done, such as dropping the kids off at school, and work from there.
Prioritising – If your daily tasks seem to never end, then prioritising is a big factor to making sure that your schedule is decluttered and saves you worrying about everything at once. It may even help you identify some things that are less of a priority than you thought!
Productivity – Procrastination is the biggest killer of productivity, and most of us fall victim to it regularly. It’s important to distinguish between taking breaks and simply being distracted by social media for hours on end. Again, be honest with yourself and ask whether you could do anything throughout the day more efficiently.
These 3 tips may seem obvious or simple, but they are definitely effective. It all comes down to making time to do the things that need to be done. This means making sacrifices and identifying if too many big commitments are taking up too much of your valuable time.
What part of the day do you value the most?
